The Gnome draws shadows over their beds
Outside a light flickers
Malevolently fades away

For eternities he's been there
In the night
Ever watching ever guarding
For not all shadows can hide us
Not all lights are virtuous

Snow falls on a frozen world

Snow falls
Our Gnome stands alone
Hidden beneath a pine his dark eyes glow
From the darkness of his heart
pours a malice putrid sour and old
Steadfast guardian
His hatred infernal and cold

All light flees before this Abomination

The Fay threads through the snow
The family sleeping soundly
Unknowing of what's outside
No one's safe until morning
The light approaches another house

This glimmer needs a soul
A child to feast on in the night
Once more our little Guardian

He stands firm in the blaze
